Crime Scene Investigation surrounds Spoken Language and the difference between informal/formal. We put the children in a role of the first police officers to arrive at the scene of a crime! They will be challenged to listen, respond and question the key witness, to extend their knowledge and understanding of what has happened. As a group we will work through interview discussions to build independent statements which they can use to report the News to everyone at home!

They will be covering the following areas:

• Open and Closed Questioning

• Formal/Informal Language

• The importance of Notetaking

• Writing effective reports and statements

• Creative Thinking about asking questions and presentations for the purpose of an audience.
